Serving Massachusetts & New Hampshire

Your home. Your vision. Built around you.

R&D Building Solutions provides complete home construction and renovation, new homes, whole-home renovations, additions, ADUs, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks, roofing, siding, and exterior improvements, with real communication from real people, first call through final walkthrough.

Not sure where to begin? That is exactly what the consultation is for.

We answer the phone.

Communication doesn't stop at the contract.

Quality is mandatory, not an upgrade.

An organized, transparent process.

What we build

One company for the complete home

Build it, expand it, renovate it inside, protect it outside. Every service below gets the same team, the same process, and the same standards, pick the project on your mind.

The people-first difference

What working with us actually feels like

"People first. Real people. Real results. Great quality is the only acceptable solution." isn't a slogan we hang on the wall, it's the operating manual.

We answer the phone.

When you call, you reach a real person, not a phone tree that goes nowhere. And if we miss you, we call back.

Communication doesn't stop at the contract.

You'll know what's happening on your project, what comes next, and who to talk to, from the first call through the final walkthrough.

Clear expectations, real answers.

We tell you what we know, what we need to find out, and what your options actually are, including the ones that cost less.

We respect your home, time, budget, and concerns.

A renovation happens in the middle of your life. We plan around that, protect your space, and treat your questions as part of the job.

Quality is mandatory, not an upgrade.

Doing it right is the baseline. We don't sell 'good enough,' and we stand behind the work we perform.

An organized, transparent process.

Scope, planning, permitting coordination, construction, walkthrough, you'll always know which step you're in and what happens next.

Project evidence

Real projects, told honestly

We're assembling our project library, photos, timelines, and the decisions behind each build. Ask to see examples relevant to your project during your consultation.

Complete project capability

One improvement or the whole house, same accountable team

Some projects are one trade for one week. Others involve a dozen trades over a season. We manage both.

A larger project can move through site work, framing, roofing, siding, windows, insulation, drywall, finish carpentry, flooring, tile, cabinetry, and paint, with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC coordinated through properly qualified trade partners and permitted under the right licenses. What you get from us is one schedule, one standard, and one team accountable for how it all comes together, whether the project is a deck or a whole home.

Thinking about an ADU? Start with the questionnaire.

Five minutes of questions about your lot, structures, and goals. You’ll get the ADU type worth discussing and what to investigate before a site review, not a sales pitch. (Every other project type: the consultation is the right first step.)

Start the ADU questionnaire

A planning aid, not an approval engine, eligibility always needs a property-specific review and local confirmation.

Our process

Organized, transparent, and understandable

You'll always know which step you're in and what happens next, on a bathroom or on a new build.

  1. Conversation

You tell us what you're considering. A real person reviews it and talks it through with you, no pressure, no obligation.

  2. Site & project review

We look at the actual space, the structure around it, and anything that could affect feasibility, so advice is grounded in your property, not a generic estimate.

  3. Scope & planning

Together we define what's in, what's out, and the decisions you'll need to make, before anyone commits to anything.

  4. Proposal

A written proposal that reflects the scope we discussed. If something changes, we explain what and why.

  5. Preconstruction & permitting coordination

We coordinate the permits and inspections your project requires with the local building department, and set a realistic schedule.

  6. Construction

Organized work, a protected home, and regular updates. Questions get answered while the project is underway, not after.

  7. Walkthrough & completion

We walk the finished project with you, resolve the punch list, and make sure you're set before we call it done.

Reviews

What customers say

We'd rather show you real reviews than write our own praise. Reviews will appear here as customers choose to share them.

Have a project in mind? Talk to a real person about what comes next.

A new home, an addition, one room, or the whole house, describe what you're considering; a sentence is enough. We'll review it, and you'll hear from a person who can actually answer your questions.

Tell us what you’re considering. A real person will review your request, and we will not sell or distribute your project information.
