Our process

You should always know what happens next

Renovation stress is mostly uncertainty. Our process exists to remove it: a clear sequence, named responsibilities, and communication that keeps working after the contract is signed.

  1. Conversation

You tell us what you're considering. A real person reviews it and talks it through with you, no pressure, no obligation.

  2. Site & project review

We look at the actual space, the structure around it, and anything that could affect feasibility, so advice is grounded in your property, not a generic estimate.

  3. Scope & planning

Together we define what's in, what's out, and the decisions you'll need to make, before anyone commits to anything.

  4. Proposal

A written proposal that reflects the scope we discussed. If something changes, we explain what and why.

  5. Preconstruction & permitting coordination

We coordinate the permits and inspections your project requires with the local building department, and set a realistic schedule.

  6. Construction

Organized work, a protected home, and regular updates. Questions get answered while the project is underway, not after.

  7. Walkthrough & completion

We walk the finished project with you, resolve the punch list, and make sure you're set before we call it done.

Every project is different, this sequence flexes to fit yours, and we’ll walk you through exactly how during the consultation. This page describes our standard working sequence; your written proposal is always the authoritative version for your project.

Process questions, answered plainly

What happens right after I reach out?

A real person reviews your request and gets back to you to talk through the project, what you're hoping for, what questions we can answer immediately, and whether a site visit makes sense as the next step.

How long does the whole process take?

It depends on scope, town, and how quickly decisions get made, which is why we give you a realistic schedule for your specific project before you sign, instead of a generic promise here.

What decisions will I need to make, and when?

Every project gets its decision list sequenced up front: selections that affect ordering and permits come early, finish details come later. You'll always know which decision is next and its real deadline.

What happens when something unexpected turns up?

You hear about it promptly, with options and costs in writing, a discovery becomes a decision you make, not a surprise on an invoice. It's the single moment that most defines a contractor, and we treat it that way.

Who do I actually talk to during construction?

You'll have a named point of contact who knows your project, not a rotating office line. Questions get answered while the work is happening, not after.
